Personal training should be just that, personal and individual . We offer lots of variety in our training programs. Our clients have goals that include weight loss,  developing strength, muscle definition, and increasing aerobic and fat burning capacity. Still others desire functional training to achieve greater efficiency in their work or chosen sport.  Many are interested in learning some martial skills, including kick-boxing and self defense.

We will take the time to get to know you, and work with you to develop an  effective program based on your goals and needs.

Cardio is incorporated into our sessions in many ways. Movement from martial arts, kick-boxing, and balance training, as well as running, walking and elliptical training are included for variety based on the interests of   the  client.

Strength training can be done with free weights, body weight, resistance bands, balance balls and cables.    Balance training comes into this as well, in order to integrate more muscle groups into each exercise and   achieve the best results, safely in the shortest amount of time.

Core stability and strength are essential to developing good posture, reducing strain on the lower back and  having a firm look and feel. We have developed some really effective exercises that work the entire core,  utilizing principles from yoga, T'ai Chi and incorporating the use of exercise balls and balance.

Flexibility training is an important part of all our modalities. We will help you maintained your functional range  of  motion with gentle yoga and T'ai chi based stretches.


Self-defense training is structured to develop awareness and choosing the path of active defense. It  includes  learning focused and controlled movement in the midst of distraction as well as developing balance and concentration. Techniques include the use of voice, escape, avoidance and simple strikes.

We will work with you to create a training experience that is both beneficial and rewarding.
